Voter Registration at Dunn County Jail
About this event
Volunteers will be paired up to meet with inmates who are eligible to vote to assist them in registering. Volunteers will meet in the lobby outside the jail and then meet with inmates in a semi-private space. Any voter registration volunteer may sign up for this activity! Because we will not be meeting inside the jail proper, it's NOT necessary for you to have completed jail volunteer orientation and training.
Previous knowledge of the voting registration and absentee ballot voting is required. To brush up on your skills you will find training documents available on the LWV-GCV website under About Us>Documents>General Documents>Voting Tools>Voter Registration Training. You'll also find there the LWV-GCV Volunteer Code of Conduct.
If you’d like to become fully qualified to volunteer in the Dunn Co Jail, please contact Jane Pedersen, pedesenj67@outlook.com. This will allow you to then participate in the full range of League voter registration work at the Dunn County Jail, including voter registration information sessions provided for inmates.
