Listen and Learn Forum with the Secretary of State
About this event
Wisconsin’s Secretary of State (SoS) has a diverse mission that includes working with local clerks, supporting businesses and facilitating economic development, supporting civic engagement, and strengthening democracy. Political power grabs over the years have created undue barriers and confusion about the Secretary of State’s role. As a result, Secretary Godlewski has worked with legislative counsel and secretaries across the country to understand the important and impactful Federal and state responsibilities. Further, the Secretary has traveled the state to meet with government officials, clerks, and community leaders to identify ways to best work together to serve Wisconsin. The state deserves an accountable and accessible Secretary of State office that will do right by the people.
The objective of the Listen and Learn Forum is for the Secretary to share information about the statutory requirements, opportunities, and initiatives that can positively impact Wisconsin communities and our state’s democracy. The Secretary would also like to use the forum to hear from local leaders and answer their questions.
