About this event
2026 Women's Equality Day Celebration
Who Has Inspired You?
Women's Equality Day commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, granting the right to vote to women. The amendment was first introduced in 1878. In 1973, the U.S. Congress designated August 26 as Women's Equality Day.

Join us for an opportunity to meet other members and learn about the women who have inspired each of us!
Extraordinary things can grow out of ordinary actions. This Women’s Equality Day, let’s celebrate the extraordinary achievements of women — and the right to vote — by sharing lunch in the park with our LWV friends.
Bring your lunch and a photo of an important or inspirational woman in your life to share with the group.
The League will provide cookies, Sun Tea, and water.
Please bring a friend, neighbor, co worker, or family member. There is no fee to attend. Pavilion B is covered, but in the event of adverse weather, we will update the calendar with any changes to our plans.
