While Wisconsin currently has fair state legislative voting maps, these are only in place for now, until the 2030 Census. We need LEGISLATION to ensure FAIR VOTING MAPS for FUTURE GENERATIONS. The WI Fair Maps Coalition has been working on a draft proposal for an independent redistricting commission, and this will be an opportunity for community dialog and input. Chippewa Valley Vote, the WI Fair Maps Coalition, and LWV-GCV are co-sponsoring a community hearing at the Hmong Mutual Assistance Association, 1320 West Clairemont, Eau Claire, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Augusta High School is approximately 40 minutes' drive east of Eau Claire. Parking in lot in front of high school; no need for a permit. Carpooling is encouraged--Carol Craig will leave from the Dragnetti's Restaurant parking lot, 3120 E. Claremont in Altoona at 12:15 p.m. for any volunteers who would like to share a ride.

Spring 2025 elections are coming up! Volunteers will wear yellow vests and offer assistance to DMV customers who would like to register to vote or update their registrations. Each service center location offers a dedicated myvote.wi.gov work station with internet access. There is not, however, public internet access at this location to support the use of other devices.
Please note that there are TWO DMV service centers in Eau Claire. This activity is at the Melby Street location.

Cairn House is a 20-bed homeless shelter owned and operated by Stepping Stones, a non-profit organization. Residents requesting to register will be provided with documentation for Proof of Residence at the Cairn House. We will work with paper voter registration applications as we are within the 20 days when myvote.wi.gov is not available for registration.
Parking is available in Stepping Stones lot, please arrive at 3:45pm.
