The Latin American and Latinix Students of UWEC are sponsoring a presentation with keynote speaker, Ruth Conniff, author of the book,
MILKED: How An American Crisis Brought Together Midwestern Dairy Farmers and Mexican workers.
The LWV-GCV Books and Beyond will discuss this book on November 16 via Zoom. This event at UWEC will give you a firsthand preview of

This book captures the deep relationship between Wisconsin dairy farmers and Mexican workers in western WI, mainly in Buffalo and Trempealeau Counties. Also speaking are John Rosenow, Roberto Tecpile, Mercedes Falk and Shaun Duvall of Puentes/Bridges.
The event is being held in the Dakota Ballroom of Davies Center on the UWEC campus.
A sit-down dinner begins at 5:30 pm. Dinner is provided free of charge.
Members attending are asked to bring non-perishable items for the UWEC Campus Harvest student food pantry. “Heat and eat” foods are most in need.
Parking is free after 4:00 pm.
