Quality, accessible public education is a cornerstone of democracy. The current conditions and trends with public school funding in Wisconsin are having an impact on the quality and accessibility of education for our children. Join Chris Hambuch-Boyle of LWV-GCV and the Wisconsin Public Education Network for a rich and eye-opening conversation with four public education leaders in the Chippewa Valley. The more we know, the better we can support public education in our communities.
Assist approximately 40 seniors with understanding the voter registration process and other related information regarding voting (i.e. absentee voting, poll locations, etc.)

While Wisconsin currently has fair state legislative voting maps, these are only in place for now, until the 2030 Census. We need LEGISLATION to ensure FAIR VOTING MAPS for FUTURE GENERATIONS.

The 2026 elections are coming up! Volunteers will assist interested DMV customers to register to vote or update their voter registration.
Volunteers will work with inmates to assist them to register to vote and to vote absentee.
A free voter registration training will be offered March 9, 20265, from 6-8 pm on Zoom by the League of Women Voters-Greater Chippewa Valley (LWV-GCV).

Volunteers will assist interested DMV customers to register to vote or update their voter registration.
Dunn County Jail, Dunn County Judicial Center
Volunteers will provide information about voting and then work with inmates to assist them to register to vote.
Cairn House at Stepping Stones in Menomonie
League volunteers will help residents register to vote and will answer questions about voting.
Eau Claire Memorial High School
Educate 17- and 18-year-olds about the importance of voting, assist 18-year-olds with voter registration, aid students to find valuable information through www.myvote.wi.gov and www.vote411.org.
Eau Claire County Jail, Eau Claire Co Gov't Center, Lower Level, Door J1N
Volunteers will work with inmates to assist them to register to vote and to vote absentee.

Hope Village residential community
Hope Village is a community of 10 tiny homes that provides housing for homeless people for a specific period of time while assisting them to secure permanent housing, and other services they need. League volunteers will assist residents to register to vote.
